XL Cable has become a leader in the cable and telecommunications industry, in part, because of custom software solutions. We have developed proprietary software to enable our technical people in the field to be faster, more accurate and to help our people in the office to manage the documentation requirements of our customers. We are now preparing to make some of this same proprietary software available to you. Our first software offering, code named "System Trakker," is our system for tracking amp setup information. The "in the field" component of the system runs on the Pocket PC platform and enables sweep technicians to enter amp sheet information (pads, equalizers, voltages, jumpers, powering, etc…) at the amp location. At the end of the day, the technician "docks" his Pocket PC and the collected data is automatically synchronized with a central database where it is available via the Internet to project managers and, if desired, even customers.

  • PocketPC platform - HP 540 series, Casio Cassiopeia 115, 125, or EM-500 series, Compaq iPAQ H3600 or H3100 series, Symbol PPT 2700 (ruggedized)
  • Desktop or laptop - 486/66DX or higher processor, 16MB Ram for Windows 95/98 (Pentium 90 or higher with 32MB Ram recommended)
